I am back to blogging after an amazing holiday in Tasmania.
Mr Pickled Cumquat and I drove to Eden for the night then powered on through to
Melbourne where we boarded the Spirit of Tasmania.
We departed at 9pm on a Sunday and arrived in Tasmania at
6am Monday morning, we had a four berth cabin with exclusive use – so we were the only ones in
our cabin. We had the same on the way home.
We stayed in Burnie, Launceston and Hobart and based this on
attractions to see, we ventured out each day and we found this worked really
well.
From here our adventures began........
Rather than tire you
with a recount of each day I posted a short description under a majority photos.

Cheese ready to be purchased, the cheese wrapped in the vine

vine leaves protect the cheese and create a moist surface which encourages the
flavour development.

Good night and good bye Tasmania
Good Morning Melbourne!
This is an amazing place to visit; it is a great drive from Sydney to Melbourne (Coastal route via Eden). Touring in Tasmania with your own vehicle is great (don’t need to worry about space for jams, wine etc!)
After 12 days, over 2,500 photos, 4125km driven and lots of food, Tasmania is highly recommended for those of you wanting to travel!
Enjoy!
Mel xx
