On Saturday Mr Pickled Cumquat and I will be leaving Sydney for Tasmania.
We will be driving to Melbourne getting on the Spirit of
Tasmania and starting our journey in Burnie then heading Launceston and
finishing off in Hobart.
We will be spending a few days in each place venturing out
on daily road trips.
I won't be doing any posts whilst I am away, I will save
that for when I am back, so I can put more detail in to it rather than rushing
through it of an evening.
If you would like to keep up to date with where we have
travelled and what we have tasted, you can follow The Pickled Cumquat on
twitter and facebook.
I look forward to getting any tips of great places to visit!

You must go to MONA this place is just amazing. You will enjoy it so much! p.s on Monday the Hobart Regatta is on :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes this is on the list to do! I found out after we had planned our trip that the Regatta is on the day we arrive :-)
ReplyDeleteIf staying in Hobart while the Regatta is on doesn't pull your fancy you can always head out to Richmond or journey down to Port Arthur for the day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that! Do you have any other places to go that are Tasmanian secrets?
DeleteI hope you're having a great time there! Can't wait to read all about it :)
ReplyDeleteWe are having a great time and eating too much! Today we are heading to Port Arthur. Can't wait for your book to come out!
DeleteI went to pretty much all of the places you have posted on facebook but really want to know how you went on the ferry. What class did you travel ect? Apparently it has amazing food? Please blog it!
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike! We ate before hand as we departed at around 8ish, we bought snacks and drinks off there. It cost us $960 return for 2 adults and a 4WD we had a cabin, without sea views as we travelled at night and arrived before sunrise so no real point! Will be doing an extensive blog in the next week :-)
DeleteOkay cool. We thought it would be more economical to fly and rent the car but once we got through all of the insurance on the car it was probably better to just do the ferry! We would have to drive 1000kms to get to the port though. One day! Famous last words.
